Publishing Process
Make sure that you will submit an original research paper that has never been published or submitted to any journal. UJER detects when it has been published in another journal.
Click the Submit my article button. Download the Template and follow the formatting indicated on the paper to proceed to the next step. Those who do not follow the template are immediately rejected.
Editors will subject your manuscript (without any author information and references) to a plagiarism checker before it can proceed to a double-blind review. A minimum of at least less than 5% similarity index will proceed to the review process.
Once detected with higher than the maximum recommended similarity index, UJER will return the manuscript with "revision required" to the author/s. Authors are required to minimize the similarity index for it to be worthy of publishing.
Once it has passed the plagiarism screening, the manuscript will be submitted for a double-blind review by the editorial board.
Reviewers will provide necessary feedback to improve the suitability of the article in the journal.
Reviewers will send back again the reviewed manuscript for revision. Authors are only given ONE WEEK to revise the recommendations.
Once returned, together with the copyright form, UJER will prepare the manuscript for publication.
The process could take from four to twelve weeks before publication.
Once your paper is accepted for publication, you are encouraged to register in ORCID and Researchgate to store your publication for future citations.
UJER publishes original articles every end of March, June, September, and December. However, authors are welcome to submit anytime.
