Universal Journal of Educational Research (UJER) supports transparency and responsible use of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the creation of scholarly content. This policy applies to authors of books, book chapters, and commissioned content.
Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly) may be used only to improve language and readability.
These tools must not be used to generate scientific, pedagogical, or clinical insights, or to replace core authoring responsibilities.
All AI-assisted content must be reviewed and edited by the author, who remains fully responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the work.
Authors must disclose any use of AI tools in the writing process. A disclosure statement will be included in the published work.
AI tools must not be listed as authors or co-authors.
Authorship implies accountability, decision-making, and approval of the final work, responsibilities that only humans can fulfill.
Generative AI tools must not be used to create or alter images, figures, or artwork, except when explicitly part of the research methodology.
Minor adjustments (e.g., brightness, contrast) are acceptable if they do not misrepresent the original data.
If AI is used in image generation as part of the research, authors must provide full methodological details and adhere to the tool’s usage policies.
This policy applies to new content creation only and does not permit the use of AI tools on previously published material.
